Eilidh Klinger is a Registered Social Worker with more than 10 years of experience supporting adults experiencing mental health concerns, addiction, and emotional wellbeing challenges. She provides compassionate, evidence-based therapy in a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to make meaningful change.

Eilidh has particular expertise in gambling addiction, problematic gaming, and technology overuse. She understands that reaching out for help can be difficult, particularly when a behaviour may have started as something enjoyable or manageable but has gradually become harder to control. You may be concerned about how much time you are spending gaming, gambling, scrolling, or using your phone or other technology. Perhaps you have tried to cut back but find yourself returning to the behaviour, or you are spending more time or money than you intended. You may be staying up late gaming or using technology, struggling to focus on work or other responsibilities, or finding that your relationships are being affected. For some people, gambling or technology use can become a way of coping with stress, difficult emotions, loneliness, boredom, or other challenges. Over time, this can leave you feeling frustrated, guilty, overwhelmed, or unsure how to regain control.

Eilidh can help you understand the role these behaviours are playing in your life and develop practical strategies to make changes. Therapy can focus on identifying triggers and patterns, strengthening emotional regulation and coping skills, changing unhelpful thinking and behaviour patterns, and developing healthier ways of meeting your needs. Her approach is collaborative and individualized, recognizing that meaningful change looks different for every person. Eilidh also has experience supporting neurodivergent individuals and tailors her therapeutic approach to each person’s unique strengths and needs. Eilidh’s approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive.

Eilidh offers personalized support to best meet client’s individual needs and goals, using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Motivational Interviewing techniques. She works collaboratively with her clients, taking a holistic approach to identifying challenges and needs.

Eilidh received a Masters of Social Work from Robert Gordon University in Scotland. She later received a postgraduate diploma to become a certified Mental Health Officer from Strathclyde University in Scotland. Eilidh is a registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Having previously worked as a Social Worker and Mental Health Officer in several municipalities in Scotland, Eilidh moved to Canada where she currently works as a therapist in the Problem Gambling and Technology Use Treatment Service at the Centre of Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH).
