Eilidh is a highly skilled and compassionate professional with dual qualifications as a registered Social Worker and trained Mental Health Officer. She is dedicated to supporting individuals navigating challenges related to mental health (e.g., depression, anxiety, schizophrenia), substance use, and behavioural concerns, including problematic gambling and excessive technology use. Eilidh is committed to creating a safe, trusting, and inclusive environment where clients feel heard and respected. Through her anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and non-judgmental approach, she works to empower individuals to overcome barriers, develop coping strategies, and achieve their personal goals. By fostering a supportive space, Eilidh helps clients enhance their resilience, emotional wellbeing, and overall quality of life.
Eilidh brings over a decade of diverse experience to her practice, having worked extensively within mental health services in both Scotland and Canada. She earned her Masters of Social Work from Robert Gordon University in Scotland, followed by a postgraduate diploma from Strathclyde University that certified her as a Mental Health Officer. Her professional journey includes roles in social work and mental health services across Scotland, where she honed her expertise in assessments, crisis intervention, and long-term treatment planning.
Since moving to Canada, Eilidh has continued her impactful work as a registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. She is currently a therapist with the Problem Gambling and Technology Use Service at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in Toronto. In this role, she provides tailored support to clients dealing with the unique challenges associated with behavioural addictions, drawing on evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
Eilidh’s approach is particularly suited to clients who may feel marginalized or underserved, including neurodivergent individuals. Her dedication to fostering a safe, empathetic, and empowering space enables clients to embark on a journey of healing, growth, and emotional regulation at their own pace.
