Dr. Andreea Tamaian

PhD, CPsych
Clinical & Forensic Psychologist

Facing a criminal charge or conviction for a violent or sexual offence can be overwhelming. Decisions about one’s future may hinge on how the court understands their risk of reoffending. I provide comprehensive risk assessments for individuals involved in legal proceedings related to sexual and violence offences. The evaluations draw on well-established tools and structured, in-depth interviews to provide an evidence-based picture of risk, protective factors, and opportunities for intervention.

I approach clients with compassion and curiosity, striving to understand the complex factors that have contributed to their current situation. I incorporate multiple sources of information – including interviews, collateral input, assessment instruments, and the latest research – along with years of experience and training to maximize objectivity in my evaluations. This comprehensive approach helps provide a clear understanding of an individual’s risk and ultimately supports informed legal decision-making and effective rehabilitation planning.

On a Personal Note

When I’m not working, I’m probably trying a new recipe—success rates vary, but enthusiasm is always 100%.
