Is Family Therapy Right For You?

Our services are designed to meet the needs of families seeking family therapy in Ontario, reunification therapy, or court-adjacent family support delivered virtually by experienced clinicians. Our approach is clinically rigorous, trauma-informed, and grounded in extensive experience working with complex family systems. Some of the things people often seek family therapy for:

Conflict & Stress

Families may experience ongoing conflict, escalating arguments, or high levels of stress during change or crisis. Therapy supports calmer problem-solving and healthier ways of navigating disagreement.

Communication & Connection

Difficulties expressing needs, misunderstandings, or emotional distance can create tension within families. Therapy helps rebuild clearer, more respectful communication and strengthens relational bonds.

Trust & Boundaries

Breakdowns in trust, blurred roles, or boundary challenges can disrupt family stability. Therapy provides structure to repair trust, clarify expectations, and support safe, respectful interactions.

Transitions & Reunification

Life events such as separation, blended family changes, or reconnection after estrangement can be complex and emotional. Therapy helps families move through these transitions with guidance, safety, and support.

“Family means no one gets left behind or forgotten.”

– David Ogden Stiers

Virtual Family Therapy in Ontario

Family therapy is available when participating children are age 12 and older. We support:

  • Parents and adolescents
  • Parents and adult children
  • Blended and step-families
  • Separated or divorced parents and children
  • Extended families (where clinically appropriate)
  • Families involved with legal or child protection systems

Before therapy begins, we assess readiness, safety, and goals to ensure that family therapy is appropriate and constructive for all participants — particularly important in high-conflict or post-separation contexts.
